This Could Be Your Post in Your Town Too! Try ANY or ALL these tools, then create your own "Toolbox!"
Brad - There you go. Zillow is going to grow exponentially since they brought you on-board! I like all the tools, the only concern I would have with all these widgets is that my visitors would get sidetracked and find a premier Zillow agent in one of the threads.
Judy - Yep, that's right! And since it would be you featuring these tools in your area, you'd be the "Premier Agent" they'd find and want to work with. The more value we can deliver to potential clients and visitors on our websites, blogs and profiles, the more likely they are to become our leads and our clients for life.
...this post is also to see if I can (seo) rank for Real Estate in San Francisco, CA :-)
Good morning Brad,
Wow wonderful tools and you are sure making a difference on Zillow..you WILL make a difference for them! Suggesting this post!
Brad, after your webinar the other day, now I am confident that I can include these type of widgets in my posts too....thanks again!
Thanks Dorie, I really had no idea just how much they offer and can do for both Agents and consumers. I'm excited to share this stuff and can't wait to make some announcements about things that we'll be doing and offering in the future. It's an exciting time to be part of this industry and especially this "Z" team. It's really the Zillow staff that are making all the difference! :-)
Kristin - thank you. You know that if you ever get stuck with any of this stuff, just call me, you know I'll answer!!
Brad,
Love the way your widgets look. That's exactly what we're looking for. Hope you'll be able to help these two non-techies!
Brad, it is always time for a break when I click on your site to upload. With all the widgets I know I have time to go for coffee before they all come in. And, yes I am on fiber optic connection. Once openned I always know there will be something that I haven't known before. It is worth the wait. Thanks
Well done blog. I was shocked to see you could buy a 1700 sq. ft. apt. in San Francisco for under $300,000. I thought SF was immune from this real estate down turn.
Larry and Sheila - YOU BET!! :-)
Larry L. - you have fiber optics? Lucky dog! lol~
Lori - did you see this one for $45,000,000.00? I WANT IT!!
(the pymts are only about 240K a mo.)
(check out this cool "Virtual Tour" tool)
We love Zillow widgets. And now that we have you showing us how to use them to our advantage...priceless!
I'm back, and have bookmarked this post. :) Sorry I missed the webinar. Will you be having another anytime soon?
These widgets are great and will be adding some to my site. I enjoyed the webinar on Monday but was lost those first few minutes when the video wasn't on. Bring us more!
This Blog post definitely pushes the envelope when it comes to "how many widgets" you can put into a single blog post. (sidebar not included) The poor folks still using dial up would have to probably go get coffee while they wait for this page to load! lol~
This is just a sample showing how using widgets in a post, Blog, or website can truly bring additional value to YOUR readers and visitors. If I can do 4 or 5 things on one page or site instead of having to go to 4 or 5 different sites or locations, then that's valuable to me. I assume that would be valuable to those looking for Real Estate answers in my area or yours.
When we launch Zillow® Academy, check the calendar for more training and support classes. We'll walk you through it. :-)
Brad, this is awesome stuff in today's ever-changing tech bonanza!
Hi Brad! I had planned to be at my computer to get in on the widget seminar. Will you have it in a video that I can check out??
I think it's time to Zillow-up on my blog. Good stuff.
You may just win me over some day.
I do like Zillow's tools but haven't been very active, spending most of my efforts here in the rain. Love the simple mortgage calculator. Had to back-track to find your post on October 4. Had missed the news. Best of luck to you. You will succeed mightily!
That's a lot of widgets Mr., but I love it!!! Thanks Brad!
You are a Widget Monster! Glad to see some things have not changed.
If I ever do change Donna, be sure to give me a swift kick in the ar$e to straighten me up ok?? haha~
Great looking widgets, did you ever figure out why they do not work on wordpress? Gotta get me some.
Hi David - they work great on Wordpress hosted sites, just not the wordpress.com sites. Here's one my wife embedded on her site if you want to see a live sample. Zillow Widget on Debra's Blog
Brad, you are brilliant! When I find more time, I am going to work on my integrated Google Map listings & blogs!
Love these ideas. I will put these on my site so that I can capture more leads.
Had no idea Zillow had so many widgets - being in a rural area, many may not work, but it will be fun to see.
Brad, are all these on the site under widgets or under "toolbox"?
Hey Debbie - nice to see you again. :-)
You can find all the widgets including the API info on our site under widgets. (they're actually under webtools)
Here's a direct link for you. Enjoy!
Hi Brad - These are very cool toolboxes from Zillow. Last time when RainCamp was in New York city, Zillow I believe Spencer spoke and mentioned that Zillow home search is still work in progress for Manhattan New York market due to the lack of official MLS system. Are you back in town? Are there other tools Zillow has that will be accurate for this market place?
Hi Eileen, The Zillow product has gotten much better in New York over the last few years, thanks in no small part to our partnership with brokerages like yours (Prudential Douglas Elliman). Still, I'll admit that our map-based search UI works better in areas where single family homes rather than buildings are the norm. We're always looking to improve the NY product though. I grew up on the Upper East Side, and my mom was a real estate agent at Douglas Elliman when I was a kid, so New York real estate holds a special place in my heart.
