Inman Next just did an intimate video interview with one of the nations most visible REALTORS® on what it takes to succeed in today's market. Katie Lance captured some awesome pointers and wisdom from one of the top celebrity luxury real estate agents in the Country.
Gary Gold, Premier Agent and personal friend, shares his insights, tips, and experience with other agents.
"Knowing your market makes all the difference. Gary Gold, EVP of Hilton & Hyland and star on HGTV’s hit show, “Selling L.A.” is poised to complete 42 transactions this year and he does this with a small team. How? Maintaining a great website, vetting leads and going to where the buyers are..." read more...
In this interview, one of the comments and suggestions Gary makes is to "Gain a new technological skill everyday - or become obsolete!" Are you just marketing how bad you are? Can you legitimize who you are?
If you're really serious about your real estate business and your online strategy for today's market, you better watch and listen for the next 4 minutes to what he has to say and share.
That was one powerful four minutes. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Bill - Gary gives great tips and advice, and just like he says in the video, he doesn't mind sharing and collaborating with other industry pros too.
I love this! Suggested. I even learned some great stuff for my biz. (I need to make my video more prominent on my website)..actually, better yet...I need to get my hair done and then do a new better video and then make sure it shows up on the home page and the blog stream somehow.
Just had a brokers luncheon in my area and even with direct competitors we share info and tips. There's enough to go 'round. And it's such a better place when we all get along.
The choice is clear....adapt or perish.
Those who stand still .....fall behind.
Be inventive and incorporate technology as aids to selling and being more efficient.
Got to go, my transistor radio needs a new battery.
Suggested for sure! As Tammy says..it's a better place when we all get along!
Only 42 transactions? I am only 1 man and I am doing better than this. I do admit, I have had to reach out for help of late but that is only because I'm too busy to handle by myself anymore.
Good morning Brad - Inspiring video clip. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Brad, I must be falling behind because I don't learn a new technology every day, and I'm finding out that some of the things I know are not very useful for generating income. I'm trying to get back to fundamentals and focus on the most productive tools, instead of adding more. My toolbox was getting really heavy.
Brad, this is great tip. I agree keeping up with the technology can be over whelming but if you are serious about business you will stay on the top of things to get things done.
Brad - love that "are you just marketing how bad you are..."! LOL - thanks for a great post and video. I do think I would be brain dead to try to learn a new techlogy every day - but one per week probably wouldn't kill me!
Suggested! Thank you for sharing, Brad.
Have a great day.
Tatyana
Brad operates a business and out sources tasks and services that his team can't or won't do, so securing a network of professional resources is essential in today's market, especially if marketing luxury executive properties. Building a network of skilled professionals requires time and opportunities, yet must be done, regardless. Thanks for sharing your perspective, I agree.
I liked the way he said he does as much for a 2 million house as for a 20 million house! Geesh! In Arkansas we'd say do as much for a $40000 house as for a $200000 house. LOL
Brad, Great video to share and great message...learn one new tech skill a day. That seems to be the way to stay up with all the new stuff.
42 transactions may not sound like much to Kevin, but when his lowest price property is $2M...well you do the math!
Margaret
Debbie - thanks, I always learn some cool stuff from Gary. Check out his website too, it's really well done.
Tammy - you're right, there is enough to go around and I'd love to see everyone get along in this business and industry.
Erv - you're a funny guy!! I still have one of those myself :-)
Thanks Dorie - I used to love getting those features, but now I just love helping others get featured and grow their business. Gary should be the one featured today!
Kevin - congratulations on your success. I'm looking forward to your video sharing your tips and secrets too. In my honest opinion, it's not about quantity as much as it is the quality which to me is the real reward. Quality always turns into qantity over time.
Mark - this business and industry will continue to evolve but not without more high tech and high touch technology.
Wayne and Jean, glad you enjoyed it. The thanks really goes out to Katie at Inman News and Gary for doing this.
Larry - excellent point my friend. Cultivate, Capture, Convert to Clients are the key fundamentals. The tech tools have changed the game, but not the key fundamentals.
Ritu - the other option is to have someone else do it for you. :-)
Louise - even one a week is a really good goal!!
Tatyana - thanks.
Kimo - a network of anything and anyone that helps others or yourself be better or successful is a beautiful thing. :-)
Barbara - I know Gary, I've been out with him while working. He treats every property and every client like they are the only person on earth and gives them his full attention and focus regardless of home price. His marketing isn't about price as much as it is the results and the experience.
Margaret - seems almost impossible to keep up with all the new technology that comes out each day. Finding and implementing just one should actually be pretty easy time permitting. Always great to hear from you, thanks for stopping by to comment. Miss ya :)
Hi Brad, no doubt, a great video and some excellent points. Thanks for sharing.
I definitely need to add more videos to my site!
I'm always learning new techlology skills. It never ends. As soon as I have it some what figured out, it changes.
